"I've been with Stephenson Clarke shipping now for nearly two years. During my sea phase I sailed on MV Dallington for four months. We sailed all around the British Isles, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea, visiting many different countries. Working for Stephenson Clarke's has given me the opportunity to travel, learn new skills and make new friends. It's an interesting career, one I would definitely recommend."
I started my deck cadetship in September 2005. I spent six weeks at South Tyneside College before joining my first ship, MV Durrington in October 2005. After joining we sailed to various ports in Europe including San Ciprian in Spain, Rotterdam in Holland and Gdansk in Poland. On many occasions we would spend a few days in port, which gave us the perfect opportunity to see the local areas. I enjoy the work very much and am glad I chose this as my career. No two days are ever the same.
